Articles and other minutia by Ryan Burleson

Kat Brock’s, “City,” is the perfect song to match Nashville’s morning misty sleet this AM. “City” comes from Brock’s recently released EP, C (Theory 8), which is available for free on Bandcamp. “City” is forlorn and delicate, though hardly saccharin. It’s music for weathered American expanse. It’s Nashville, minus the lights and distracting ambition.

Brock, who formerly fronted Knoxville’s Dixie Dirt, recorded C with Simon Lynn, who formerly played with Theory 8 alumni, The Whole Fantastic World.
