Hammock: Slowing Down Despite the Cult-of-Now

Ambient music, so far as I can tell, isn’t in high-demand among Nashville’s music fans, or artists for that matter. Nonetheless, great ambient music is being made here. Case-in-point: Marc Byrd and Andrew Thompson, who write together as Hammock, have been quietly building a global following in their tight, but accessible niche, for several years now. Fans of Stars of the Lid or Boards of Canada have found a slow-moving equal in Hammock, as far as I’m concerned.
