Gothenburg’s jj released one of my favorite records of 2009 in the form of the breezy jj nº 2. Initially made available in the Old World by the ever-consistent, boutique Swedish Sincerely Yours label,  jj nº 2 is now being re-released on August 3rd in North America by the duo’s US home, Secretly Canadian. The highly-coveted vinyl is part of the deal, which made my morning. Also, Spin has an exclusive nº 2-era MP3 — “Baby” — that didn’t make the record. Unfortunately, the download link isn’t working for me, so I’ll keep my eye on things and let you know when the unreleased track is available. Update: Cameron over at thirty in the a.m. discerned a simple fix (see his comment below).
