Tomorrow, June 4th, I’m once again DJ’ing the excellent MA’ology Fashion Show and CARE Fundraiser being held at White Provision on the Westside of Atlanta. Every year has a theme and this year’s is “Paris,” which will be reflected in the music, food, fashion, art and drinks. If you’re unfamiliar with MA (or, Modern Atlanta), it’s essentially an ever-evolving collective of artists, architects, designers, academics and students — always with the indefatigable Bernard McCoy, Elayne DeLeo and Kevin Byrd at the helm — who come together for an annual series of events under the banner of MA’s overarching theme, “Design is Human.” Over the course of the week, there’s a modern home tour, gallery exhibitions, lectures, parties, fundraisers and all manner of activity that promotes design excellence in Atlanta. I’d keep shooting from the hip, but MA does a much better job of explaining it’s mission here. Tickets for tomorrow night’s event are $40 online and $45 at the door, with proceeds going to CARE.
