Goldmund’s Famous Places

I haven’t been able to post much in this space recently, but word of a new Goldmund record is reason enough to push some things aside and share.

I was perusing Western Vinyl’s site this afternoon when I found/read said news. WV is the same Austin-based label responsible for Balmorhea, J. Tillman and many excellent others. If memory serves, this will be the first Goldmund full-length on the label.

Goldmund, for the unfamiliar, is the largely piano-based solo project of Keith Kenniff, who you might know better as the Helios wizard. His new record is called Famous Places and arrives very soon, actually, on August 24th. Time to play catch-up via Corduroy Road and The Malady of Elegance, which were previously released on the amazing Type label.
