What It’s Like On The Inside
Theory 8 Records, 2004

In 2004, Aaron Ford (Bluetip, Trail of Dead), Brett Miotti, and Jeremy Childs invited me to join their angular, spacious post-rock band just before we mixed What It’s Like On The Inside in Chicago with Bob Weston (Nirvana, Shellac). I didn’t write or play on the record, though played with the band extensively to promote it.

Miotti and Childs left a year later and we invited Ryan Parrish (Hopesfall, Celebrity) to round TSG out as a trio. That’s the three of us up there in that photo, taken by Patrick Copeland. A handful of years later, in 2011, the four of us would make Southern’s 11 Years together.
